Describe yourself in five words.

Passionate, curious, creative, thoughtful, caring.

What’s your favorite memory from law school?

I loved going to moot court regionals (right before COVID-19 hit) with our national CU law team. It was so fun connecting with my classmates, writing and practicing together, and competing with students from around the United States.

What’s your favorite place to escape to in Colorado?

Dream Lake at Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s such a peaceful, beautiful hike during all seasons.

Who’s your favorite writer and why?

Audre Lorde. She has taught me so much about activism, anti-racism, and queerness.

Outside of the law, what are your hobbies?

I like to dance and act; open water swim in our beautiful lakes; and spend time with the queer and transgender community.

If you weren’t a lawyer, you’d be:

A pilot. I love all things planes, travel, and transportation—and the “office view” would be incredible.

Social media network of choice:

TikTok. It’s a space full of creators and activists who do not make it “mass media.” I’ve learned a lot about indigenous experiences, anti-racism, Black history, and my LGBTQ+ community.

Last movie you watched:

Everything Everywhere All at Once.

 On your desk right now:

Pictures of my nephews and family, a reusable Starbucks cup filled with water, and fidget toys.

What advice would you give a new lawyer?

Be patient with yourself. This is a long career and you don’t need to have it all figured out right away. Pick the next best step for you and that’s it. Breathe and take good care of yourself.
