Notice of Rulemaking and Public Comment Hearing

Deadline to Submit Written Comments or Register to Speak at Hearing: September 30, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Public Comment Hearing: October 3, 2025, at 9 a.m.

The Colorado Judicial Discipline Rule-Making Committee has approved three interim rules: Colorado Rules of Judicial Discipline 3.6, 34, and 37(e). The public comment period for written comments is now open. The Committee will hold a public comment hearing on October 3, 2025, at 9 a.m. at 1300 Broadway, Denver, Colorado, 80203 in room 2A. Members of the public who wish to make an oral comment (either in person or online) must register by email on or before September 30, 2025.

Note: The Colorado Judicial Discipline Rule-Making Committee was created to establish rules for the formal judicial discipline process, in accordance with House Concurrent Resolution 23-1001 and the passage of Amendment H approved by Colorado voters in November 2024.
