People v. Haubenreiser.

No. 23PDJ003. 7/21/2023. Stipulation to Discipline.

August 11, 2023

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ stipulation and disbarred Jason Haubenreiser (attorney registration number 54904), effective July 21, 2023.

On December 9, 2022, Haubenreiser pleaded guilty in Denver District Court to one count of attempt to influence a public servant, a class 4 felony. Haubenreiser stipulated to a two-year supervised deferred judgment and sentence with conditions of probation. Haubenreiser’s criminal conviction was based on his submission of a falsified document to a court in the course of litigating a civil matter on his own behalf.

Through this conduct, Haubenreiser violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
