People v. Lavizzo.

No. 25PDJ51. 8/11/2025. Stipulation to Discipline.

October 15, 2025

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ stipulation to discipline and publicly censured Aaron Christopher Lavizzo (attorney registration number 60187), effective August 11, 2025.

In May 2025, Lavizzo pleaded to one count of reckless endangerment, a class 2 misdemeanor. Lavizzo received a two-year deferred judgment and sentence with supervised probation, with conditions that Lavizzo comply with any protection order, refrain from consuming alcohol, receive a substance abuse evaluation and treatment, and receive a mental health evaluation and treatment. Lavizzo did not report his conviction or deferred judgment to disciplinary authorities.

Through this conduct, Lavizzo violated Colo. RPC 3.4(c) (a lawyer must not knowingly disobey an obligation under the rules of a tribunal) and Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
