People v. Rose.

No. 24PDJ065. 3/10/2025. Stipulation to Discipline.

April 30, 2025

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ stipulation to discipline and publicly censured Brad Lee Rose (attorney registration number 24769), effective March 10, 2025. Rose waived any defense under the applicable rule of limitations.

On October 28, 2003, Rose pleaded guilty to one count of telephone obstruction and received a deferred judgment for an undisclosed period. Rose’s guilty plea was related to an incident of domestic violence. Though Rose was obligated to self-report his conviction, he failed to do so.

On October 8, 2014, Rose pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and was sentenced to two years of probation. Rose again failed to self-report his conviction, even though he was obligated to make the report.

Through this conduct, Rose violated Colo. RPC 3.4(c) (a lawyer must not knowingly disobey an obligation under the rules of a tribunal) and Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
