People v. Snow.
No. 26PDJ25. 9/22/2026. Amended Stipulation to Discipline.
October 5, 2026
The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ amended stipulation to discipline and suspended Philip Michael Snow (attorney registration number 44507) for 18 months, with 60 days to be served and the remainder to be stayed upon Snow’s successful completion of a two-year period of probation, with conditions. Snow’s suspension took effect on October 13, 2026.
Snow resides in North Carolina. In October 2022, Snow pushed his former spouse into a dresser, causing a glass bowl to break. Snow then pinned her to the floor, using his hands and arms to hold her neck and shoulders down. During the incident, Snow’s former spouse’s teenage daughter witnessed Snow on top of her mother with his hands on her mother’s shoulders. The mother told her daughter to call for help, because Snow had taken her communication devices. The daughter contacted her father, and law enforcement later responded. When officers arrived, they contacted the daughter, who was crying. The officers observed injuries to the mother’s shoulders and neck.
On August 12, 2025, Snow pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic violence, a misdemeanor in South Carolina. The elements of the crime include causing physical harm or injury to a person’s own household member in the presence of, or while being perceived by, a minor. Snow was sentenced to probation, which was conditioned on his participation in an anger management class and in a program related to domestic abuse, among other requirements.
Through this misconduct, Snow violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
