No. 25PDJ4. 10/30/2025. Opinion Imposing Sanctions.

December 12, 2025

On October 30, 2025, following a hearing on the sanctions, a hearing board suspended Daniel J. Steinhauser (attorney registration number 54606) for one year and one day, with seven months to be served and the remainder to be stayed pending Steinhauser’s successful completion of a 30-month period of probation, with conditions. The suspension was effective on December 4, 2025.

In 2024, Steinhauser was convicted of one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class 1 misdemeanor. Through this misconduct, Steinhauser violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
