Rule 4. Commencement of Action

An action under these rules is commenced by the tender or service of a charging document upon a defendant and by the filing of a charging document with the court. A charging document may be also filed with the court through an information-sharing data transfer.

Amended and Adopted by the Court, En Banc, September 12, 2024, effective immediately.
